How to kickstart your personal brand on social media

“I’m an introvert. I can’t build a personal brand.”

“Do I have to show my face on my Instagram account?”

“I don’t want to share my whole life story on my business socials.”

One of the most frequently asked questions I receive when I’m working with my clients on their brands: Do I have to share my life on social media?

Well the answer is no, of course you don’t HAVE to do anything. Will enhancing your brand with a personal element lead to fostering a stronger, more authentic connection with your audience? That’s a big fat yes. And that’s worth exploring, right?

Following on from last week’s episode, Humanising Your Brand, let’s focus on how you can start putting the stepping stones in place to build your personal brand on social media in a way that feels right for you. And guess what? You don’t have to share your entire life on your Instagram account to build a personal brand.
